The Tennessee legislature killed Gov. Bill Haslam's Obamacare expansion plan on Wednesday. Insure Tennessee died in the Senate's Health and Welfare Committee after being introduced by Republican Sen. Doug Overbey. "It's not a perfect proposal -- almost none of our legislation is," he told the committee before stressing the reform would help "good, working hard people." Haskam, who is a Republican, backed the plan as a way to expand Medicaid under Obamacare. "People were looking for an excuse not to vote because they are scared to death of Obamacare, and they had that excuse and they took it," said Craig Becker, the president of the Tennessee Hospital Association.
