Obamas Choose Dog Breed

President Obama's most anticipated appointment is nigh: The first family has settled on a breed of dog, picking the Portuguese water dog, which is similar in appearance to a poodle. The dog is known for not shedding much (so the White House couches won't get dirty) and having a good disposition. The only thing remaining up in the air is a name; the focus of much family debate, according to Michelle Obama. The White House has been inundated with friendly recommendations from canine lovers across the country as to what breed is best, but it appears the issue is settled. When asked about the outpouring of enthusiasm over the family dog, Michelle diplomatically responded, "Okay, that's surprising."
