With the pressure on Dems mounting in the final two-week push to Election Day, President Obama took to the campaign trail on Sunday, appearing in Cleveland and Columbus to rally support for vulnerable Gov. Ted Strickland. It was the first time the couple has campaigned together this election cycle. Democrats are counting on the first lady to help close the enthusiasm gap, The New York Times reports. Though Democrats retain a cash-on-hand advantage after months of robust fundraising, quarterly reports filed Friday show Republican candidates raising a combined $53 million, while Democrats raised $48 million, a sign that voter apathy could spell doom for the party.
