President Obama’s ISIS war czar will step down in November, Bloomberg News reports, citing four government sources. Retired Gen. John Allen’s departure is driven by frustration “with White House micromanagement of the war and its failure to provide adequate resources to the fight.” He is also said to be motivated by concern over the health of his wife, who has an autoimmune disorder. While State Department officials declined to confirm the reports, which first emerged last week, they suggested that Allen was ready for change.
