Actor John Barrowman is facing backlash and accusations of “entitlement” after he complained about a Business Class experience on social media.
Known for roles in Doctor Who and Desperate Housewives, the 59-year-old actor ranted about a flight he took from Los Angeles to London, complaining that the service was “shady” and that he didn’t receive any free pajamas and was given the wrong meal order.
Barrowman tagged American Airlines, saying in a since-deleted video, saying, “Hi American, we have paid for the flagship service.”

“The tickets were very expensive, and we get on thinking we’d get pajamas with the flagship service,” he said, pointing to his father and husband behind him in their aircraft seats. “Then you apparently only give them to the first two rows in business class. What’s that all about? So far you’re not batting very high.”
He added, “Meal order wrong and then told we don’t have exactly what everyone else is getting on the flight when we all have flagship service. Can you explain? Thank you.”
The former Dancing on Ice contestant chalked up the experience to “shady and bad customer service.” Barrowman also stipulated that the flight tickets were “expensive.”
While his complaints went beyond the pajamas, Barrowman has faced widespread backlash on social media. He has since deleted the video.

“How on Earth was he expected to have a little sleep halfway across the Atlantic without being given pajamas? This is so cruel. How will he ever recover from this shocking incident?” quipped one user on X.
Several others called out his “entitlement” and called him a “diva.”
Another wrote, “Stop moaning about a pair of pajamas, if you paid business class you can afford a pair yourself!”
Others, however, defended the star.
“To be fair if you pay a lot of money for a service then I’d expect the service I paid for,” one person said on X.
“I’m in no way a fan of John Barrowman, but how do people have an issue with him asking for something he’s paid for?” wrote another.
