Bruce Willis’ daughter has revealed she “misses” who her superstar father used to be.
Die Hard star Willis, 71, was diagnosed with dementia in 2023, and has largely retreated from public view.
Fans have seen glimpses of him through the social media accounts of his family, including his ex-wife Demi Moore and their daughters, Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah.

In a new social media video, Rumer, 38, has revealed her feelings about her father’s health.
“I really miss my dad. I miss a different version of who he was,” she said in a video for health company Function.
“There are some days that are just so hard. I try to prioritise being present with where he’s at now. The truth is, to be strong is learning to deal with both things at the same time.”

Earlier this month, Willis attended the wedding of Tallulah, 32, and husband Justin Acee in Sun Valley, Idaho. Vogue posted a photo of the movie star with the couple, with the bride resting her head on her father’s shoulder.
In a May interview, Rumer also shared her joy that her father had met her three-year-old daughter, Louetta, whom she shares with ex Derek Richard Thomas.
“I’m so grateful that I have a child that got to meet him because I don’t know if my sisters will have that,” Rumer told The Inside Edit.
She also spoke about the changes in her father’s demeanor, noting, “There’s this sweetness. He’s always been this macho dude and now there’s this—fragile is not the right word—but like a tenderness that maybe being Bruce Willis might not have allowed him in a way.”
In January, Willis’ wife Emma Heming Willis revealed that her husband doesn’t know he has dementia.
Emma, 47, disclosed this aspect of her husband’s diagnosis in a conversation with Cameron Oaks Rogers on her podcast Conversations with Cam, saying he “never, never tapped in” to his diagnosis.
“I think that’s like the blessing and the curse of this, is that he never connected the dots that he had this disease, and I’m really happy about that. I’m really happy that he doesn’t know about it,” Willis shared.
