MAGA podcaster Megyn Kelly, 55, claimed she wants “nothing to do” with the WNBA during a 15-minute rant about the league on Monday.
On The Megyn Kelly Show, Kelly whined about Indiana Fever’s Sophie Cunningham’s supposed mistreatment at the hands of Chicago Sky’s DiJonai Carrington. Carrington was ejected during the first quarter of the August 8 game after fouling “MAGA Barbie” Cunningham.
Cunningham’s transphobic comments have earned the adoration of MAGA figures like JD Vance and Karoline Leavitt, and opposition from WNBA audiences and sports officials.
Kelly, a staunch defender of Cunningham’s transphobic statements, spent several minutes whining about the woke media, LGBTQ+ “values,” and the liberal hypocrisy at play in the WNBA, as she often does.
About eight minutes into the lengthy segment, Kelly alleged that she was sick of talking about the WNBA’s antics. She then discussed the league for another seven minutes.
“I have nothing but disdain for this league,” Kelly said. “I’ve got to be clear. I’m so over them.”
She went on to state that she “doesn’t believe in their values at all.” She also said her support of Cunningham doesn’t extend beyond liking Cunningham’s tweets.
“Who is there to root for other than Sophie?” Kelly said. “Tell me. I’ll root for Sophie by like liking her tweets. That’s enough. I want nothing to do with this league.”
Kelly then complained that Carrington “caused drama” during this year’s WNBA All-Star weekend by discussing her former relationship with Las Vegas Aces’ NaLyssa Smith.
“Good lord,” Kelly said. “Who’s got time for these petty people’s drama?”
Evidently, Kelly does.
