‘The Daily Show’ Mocks Lindsey Graham’s Laughable Disney Excuse

WALT WAS HE THINKING?

Graham’s trip to the Magic Kingdom is one he will never forget—but probably for the wrong reasons.

The Daily Show has quickly unraveled war hawk Lindsey Graham’s excuse for visiting Disney World in the midst of the war with Iran.

Republican Sen. Graham, a steadfast supporter of Trump’s war in the Middle East, has desperately tried to explain away his bizarre appearance at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, by saying that he was stopping by to visit friends after holding meetings nearby with Steve Witkoff.

On Tuesday night’s episode of the show, host Desi Lydic said, “If you’re angry that Lindsey Graham is at the Magic Kingdom while the country is in a war he pushed for, don’t worry, he has an almost plausible explanation.”

The host then displayed Graham’s bizarre defense, followed by a reporter repeating the politician’s stance: “He was in Florida on meetings and just decided to swing by Disney World.”

“Just decided to swing by Disney World?” Lydic retorted. “No. It is impossible to swing by Disney World.”

“Going to Disney without a serious plan would be like, I don’t know, attacking Iran without a serious plan,” the comedian quipped.

After images of Graham, 70, walking through the Magic Kingdom and dining at Chef Mickey were published, the lawmaker—who has never been married and does not have children—insisted that he was in Florida on official business.

“I was invited to a meeting in South Florida on Friday with Trump official Steve Witkoff... to talk about the possibility of normalization between Saudi Arabia and Israel,” the South Carolina senator told TMZ. “I went to Orlando to meet friends after. I’m already back in South Carolina.”

The Senator then appeared to overcompensate on social media, posting images on X that included a picture of himself staring down the barrel of a shotgun.

“Oh, honey,” Lydic said in response to the image. “No one’s buying that. You can tell he’s not happy out there in the woods. He wants to be where the people are,” she mocked.

Graham has long advocated for U.S. intervention in Iran, where Trump’s conflict has entered its fifth week. The South Carolina lawmaker bragged at the beginning of the conflict, telling Fox News, “We’re going to blow the hell out of these people.”

“Donald Trump is resetting the world in a way nobody could have dreamed of a year ago,” Graham gushed. “He is the greatest commander-in-chief of all time. Our military is the best of all time. Iran is going down, and Cuba is next.”
