One month after it began, Occupy Wall Street has some money on its hands: the movement has nearly $300,000, plus storage space in lower Manhattan filled with donated supplies. The money has been raised mainly through contributions on the movement’s website and through people who give in person at Zuccotti Park. The group, meanwhile, has designated a demands committee to debate whether it should issue concrete demands. Any proposals would have to be debated before the group’s general assembly and would require two-thirds approval for passage.
