O’Donnell Attacks GOP

This might scare the GOP, but will it work on voters? Republican Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell told party insiders that have expressed doubts in her candidacy that she has “Sean Hannity in my back pocket, and I can go on his show and raise money by attacking you guys.” Indeed on Thursday, the Tea Party Senate candidate for Delaware went on the popular Fox News show to criticize the National Republican Senatorial Committee for not sending any money her way. Hannity has warned the GOP against criticizing Tea Party leader Jim DeMint, and gave a glowing review of O’Donnell’s debate performance from the night before. Despite Hannity’s backing and support from other Tea Party favorites as Sarah Palin, O’Donnell trails her Democratic opponent, Chris Coons, by 19 points and she lacks support from many mainstream Republicans, including Bush strategist Karl Rove.
