The Tea Party’s newest star won’t be basking in the national limelight on Sunday as planned. Delaware’s Christine O’Donnell has canceled each of her two scheduled appearances on tomorrow’s Sunday talk circuit, citing conflicting appointments in her home state. O’Donnell was scheduled to appear on Fox News Sunday opposite GOP strategist Karl Rove, who generated conflict this week when he called the new Senate nominee’s ideas “nutty" before eventually backing her. She has also canceled a planned gig on CBS’s Face the Nation. “We feel really bad,” said campaign spokeswoman Diana Banister. “Tomorrow, the priorities are back in Delaware.” O’Donnell has cited church events and a GOP picnic as her reasons for missing the appearances.
