Thousands of mourners gathered Thursday for the funeral of Officer Michael Crain, the Riverside policeman gunned down last week, allegedly by ex-LAPD cop Christopher Dorner. Crain was victim of what was called a “cowardly ambush” by a man suspected to be Dorner while on duty with his partner, an act that turned Dorner into a fugitive and launched the massive manhunt that ended Tuesday evening.
