Ohio Gov. John Kasich is expected to enter the Republican presidential race on July 21 at his alma mater, the Ohio State University, advisers told Politico on Sunday. The 63-year-old plans to announce his bid and head to New Hampshire and other early-voting states to kick off campaigning. Kasich would become the 16th candidate to enter the GOP pool, after New Jersey Chris Christie, who is expected to announce his bid on Tuesday, and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, who is expected to announce his 2016 plans the week of July 13.
