A school resource officer in Ohio has been accused of using a Taser to wake a sleeping student last week. Officer Maryssa Boskoski, 32, allegedly activated the Taser a few feet away from a high-school junior who slept through his teacher and interim principal’s attempts to wake him. He did wake up after the Taser made a noise and students reacted to it. The teen was not hurt. “She did take her Taser, remove the cartridge from it, and arced the Taser,” Police Chief Howard Funk told Cleveland’s WEWS-TV. Boskoski may face criminal charges. Jenna Parnell, the interim principal, told WFTX-TV: “Our interest is in the safety of our students so hearing that go off was a little alarming.” She told parents Wednesday that the school was “fully cooperating” with the police department’s investigation.
