Ohio Teacher Accused of Masturbating Behind Desk in Class

His dad insisted the teacher had “never had an issue like this in his life.”

A teacher in Ohio was arrested Tuesday after police say he was caught masturbating behind his desk in a classroom while students were present. Fairfield Police received a complaint Tuesday at about 10:30 a.m. after the alleged incident involving 41-year-old substitute teacher Tracey Abraham. A statement from Fairfield schools said students at Creekside Middle School reported “suspicious behavior by the substitute that was taking place behind” his desk. The school’s resource officer removed Abraham from the building and he “will not be returning to our schools,” the statement says. The teacher was later charged with public indecency. Abraham’s father, Rick, told the Cincinnati Enquirer Tuesday that his son has “never had an issue like this in his life,” adding: “I don’t think what they saw is what really was happening.” Abraham was arraigned Tuesday—his next court appearance was set for Jan. 15. He has been ordered to stay away from all locations where children are present.
