It has taken more than 20 years, but the stolen 1968 Heisman Trophy won by O.J. Simpson has been recovered. Along with Simpson’s football jersey, the trophy was stolen from the USC Athletic Department in 1994. Simpson’s own copy of the trophy was reportedly later sold to help pay for legal fees. Back in the beginning of December, detectives went to court for a search warrant for phone records for an unnamed person connected to the theft. However, police have not released any more details as they consider the case ongoing.
