Police in Oklahoma on Wednesday said a man on the run since Sunday for a string of violent crimes may be planning to kill several people he had on a hit list. Michael Dale Vance Jr. is wanted on two counts of first-degree murder, as well as several carjackings and other violent crimes. Police now say Vance posted a video to Facebook on Sunday in which he listed several potential targets. Shortly after the video was posted, two of his relatives were found nearly decapitated, in what Oklahoma County Sheriff John Whetsel said was a “rage killing.” Whetsel said Wednesday that police would be providing protection to several people mentioned by Vance in the video. Some of the targets are connected to a sexual-assault case against Vance, Whetsel said. Vance was last seen Monday about 165 miles from where the manhunt began. He fled in a police patrol vehicle on Sunday night after a shootout with officers and broadcast his escape on Facebook.
