In an upset, Olivia Colman has won the Best Actress Oscar for The Favourite. Glenn Close, who has been nominated seven times without winning, had been widely expected to walk away with the statuette—which Colman referenced in her acceptance speech. “Glenn Close, you are my idol and this is not how I wanted it to be,” she said. Colman also beat out Lady Gaga, Melissa McCarthy, and Yaltiza Aparicio for the Oscar.
