At least one tornado left a trail of damage in central Illinois Thursday night, killing one person and injuring several others, according to officials. The storm system hit the state's northeast track, leveling farms and small towns including Fairdale, Ill., which was hit the hardest. The weather service confirmed a tornado touched down in Cherry Valley while another was reported near Ashton, just south of Rockford, Ill. Minor flooding was expected for Friday following the storm.
