One of the last northern white rhinos in the world died on Sunday at age 44. Angalifu was being treated for age-related issues at the San Diego Zoo, where he lived after being relocated from Sudan in 1990. There are now only five white rhinos left: one in San Diego, one in the Czech Republic and three in Africa. The near-extinction is attributed to poaching.
