Oprah Winfrey will soon be in full control of her television channel: She will become the chief executive of OWN this fall, according to The Wall Street Journal. She’ll also become chief creative officer, expanding on her previous role as chairman of the network. The station has struggled since it launched this spring, even, at times, bringing in fewer viewers than the Discovery Health channel that it replaced. The channel fired its original chief executive in May.
