Netflix dropped Orange Is the New Black’s Season 3 six hours early on Thursday night at the OrangeCon fan-filled event in New York City. Cast member Uzo Aduba asked Netflix boss Reed Hastings on a video call during a panel how many episodes should premiere at OrangeCon. “What if we showed them the whole season?” she asked. Hastings smiled and agreed as fans cheered and the season’s dozen episodes hit the streaming service. The surprise debut was part of the first fan gathering for the Netflix series, which transformed Skylight Clarkson Square into a replica of the show’s Litchfield Prison.
