A 15-year-old boy is suspected of having ignited a massive, ongoing wildfire that has already torched more than 31,000 acres in Oregon. According to state police officials, the boy, whose name is being withheld, “and others may have been using fireworks, which started the forest fire along the Eagle Creek Trail.” The boy, who is from Vancouver, Washington, is cooperating with the probe, officials said, but charges have not yet been filed and nobody has been arrested. Hundreds of residents in the area have evacuated.
