NO LOYALTY

O’Reilly: ‘Wasn’t My Place’ to Defend Megyn Kelly

“Why am I going to get in the middle of that?”

Fox News host Bill O’Reilly claims it was not his “place” to defend Megyn Kelly from the barrage of attacks leveled at her by Donald Trump and his supporters after she asked the candidate a tough question during the first GOP presidential debate last year. “It was not my job to intrude on the Fox News Channel hierarchy, which was handling the controversy,” O’Reilly told The Hollywood Reporter. “Why am I going to get in the middle of that? Roger Ailes is a genius at handling this stuff. I am not going to make his life harder by putting my big mouth in the middle of this thing. But Megyn’s come out of it fine, right? Big star and doing well.”
