Outside Manhattan, Frustration Grows

Start spreading the news—Hurricane Sandy victims in the four other boroughs of New York City are fed up with the pace of storm-recovery work, with some saying Manhattan gets all the attention. People whose lives and livelihoods were affected by the storm in Queens, Brooklyn, the Bronx, and Staten Island have looked with displeasure on the relit Manhattan skyline—anger that was directed at Mayor Michael Bloomberg when he visited the Rockaways on Saturday. “It’s all about Manhattan,” said Rockaways residents Nora McDermott.
