Pakistani protesters pushed closer to the official residence of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in central Islamabad, in their continuing bid to drive him from power. They also closed down national television after storming PTV's headquarters. Soldiers and paramilitary moved into the TV building after a crowd broke through its gate. Protests against Sharif, led by politician and former cricket star Imran Khan erupted last month. The prime minister has refused to resign, and Khan has said he will not negotiate until that happens.
