Palin Mocks Michelle's Health Campaign

Don’t mess with a Mama Grizzly’s s’mores. Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin took a jab at first lady Michelle Obama’s anti-obesity campaign in the latest episode of Sarah Palin’s Alaska. Palin rooted around for s’mores ingredients and then said that it was “in honor of Michelle Obama, who said the other day we should not have dessert.” Obama’s “Let’s Move” campaign strives to educate about childhood obesity, and Michelle said back in July that for the Obama kids, “dessert is a not a right.” “Let’s Move” provides tips for parents such as cutting back on sugar, but it is not legislation and does not force anyone away from food. Palin has criticized the campaign, saying in November that Obama “is telling us she cannot trust parents to make decisions for their own children, for their own families what we should eat.”
