In the latest evidence that she’s planning a 2012 White House run, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, joined by her husband, Todd, and the rest of the family, rode on the backs of Harley-Davidson motorcycles through Pentagon’s North Parking Lot Sunday as part of the annual Rolling Thunder rally ahead of Memorial Day. It was an untraditional appearance that consisted of no public remarks, just some hand waving and the motorcycle ride, before she sped off in a black SUV. The occasion marks the start of Palin’s One Nation bus tour along the East Coast, and exhibited further proof that a potential Palin presidential run would be far from the norm. Palin gave no press releases or information indicating where her bus tour would take her, instead merely posting the following statement on her website: “We encourage you to support the pro-America events we’ll be privileged to participate in during these coming weeks. Discover the ties that bind Americans, our history, our traditions, and the exceptional nature of our country!”
