Maybe Sarah Palin, like author Joe McGinniss, was disappointed in the book’s lack of coverage. Palin has threatened to sue McGinniss and his publisher, Crown, for The Rogue—a move that, if she follows through, could keep the book in the public eye. Palin’s attorney has apparently sent a letter to Crown accusing it of “knowingly publishing false statements” and alerting it to his client’s intentions. The attorney also cites an email in which McGinniss allegedly acknowledges he ran out of time to properly source the book.
