Palin Writes Notes on Hand, Again

This is what you sow when you mock other politicians’ use of teleprompters: Appearing on Fox News Sunday, Sarah Palin said, “My palm isn’t large enough to have written all my notes down on what this tax increase, what it will result in”—a comment that led anchor Chris Wallace to ask Palin what she had written on her hand. “$3.8 trillion in the next 10 years,” she explained, “so I didn’t say $3.7 trillion and get dinged by the liberals saying I didn’t know what I was talking about.” Sorry Sarah, but here comes the dinging: The Pew Economic Policy Group says the cost of repealing all the tax cuts would be $3.1 trillion, not $3.8 trillion. Furthermore, President Obama is not talking about letting all the tax cuts expire; just those for the wealthiest Americans.
