Pamela Anderson Is Israel’s No. 1 Fan

She’s pushed Bibi on an animal-fur ban and even honeymooned in the Dead Sea. Now the ‘Baywatch’ beauty just swung by a high-profile Beverly Hills fundraiser for the IDF.

On Thursday, billionaire Haim Saban threw a dinner at the Beverly Hilton to raise money for the nonprofit Friends of the Israeli Defense Forces. These fundraisers usually attract big names in tech and Hollywood, and this one raised more than $30 million. (Interest has amped up over the last few years due to Israel’s conflicts with Hamas in Gaza.)

Attendees this time around included usual suspects such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, and Barbra Streisand.

And then there was Pamela Anderson.

The inclusion of the 47-year-old sex symbol, Baywatch cast member, and star of Borat might surprise you at first. But the Playboy Playmate and hardcore animal-rights activist has long been a major-league advocate for the State of Israel.

“Israel is magical,” she said at the event. “It is one of my favorite places to be. A mixture of old and new, arts, music, freedom. The people of Israel are interesting, aware, and generous. You can see they are very sensitive to the world’s problems. Israel is a place everyone must experience.”

Anderson pleaded with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to ban clothing made from animal fur. She has honeymooned in Israel. She’s called Israel a “progressive, wonderful example to the rest of the world.”

And she’s been on Israel’s version of Dancing with the Stars:

Pamela Anderson: big fan of the Jewish state.
