Robbers armed with Kalashnikovs robbed the motorcade of a Saudi Arabian prince in Paris late on Sunday. The bandits made off with 250,000 euros ($334,000) in cash, as well as “sensitive” documents, according to French police, as the convoy traveled from the Saudi embassy to Le Bourget airport. The last car in the motorcade, a Mercedes minivan, was hijacked by eight hooded thieves traveling in two BMWs, said Rocco Contento, a representative of the local police. The driver was later released and the minivan was found burned. Contento said the attack was “very well organized” and that the robbers must have “been informed about the schedule” because there was no need to fire a shot, and nobody was injured. In fact, the prince even made his flight.
