Paris Hilton will avoid a felony charge by pleading guilty to two misdemeanors related to her Las Vegas arrest in August. In copping to drug possession and obstruction of an officer, Hilton will serve a year of probation, pay a $2,000 fine, complete a drug abuse program, and do 200 hours of community service. On August 26, a police officer was watching as the 29-year-old celebutante was reaching for her chapstick when a plastic baggy holding 0.8 grams of cocaine fell out of her purse. If Hilton breaks any law other than traffic rules, she’ll spend a mandatory year in jail.
