The Sacramento church where a pastor praised the mass shooting that left 49 people dead at an Orlando gay nightclub has been told to move out of its current location by property managers. Following the deadly massacre, Pastor Roger Jimenez told his Verity Baptist Church members that Omar Mateen killed “50 pedophiles” and that “I think Orlando, Florida, is a little safer tonight. The tragedy is that more of them didn’t die. The tragedy is I’m kind of upset he didn’t finish the job.” As a result, Harsch Investment Properties—owners of the business park where the church is located—have opted not to renew Verity’s lease next year, and have asked the church to consider moving out immediately.
