Paul Giamatti to Play Ben Bernanke

Call it typecasting: Paul Giamatti will play Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke in HBO’s upcoming original movie about Wall Street, Too Big to Fail, the network announced Monday. He’ll join James Woods as Lehman Brothers CEO Dick Fuld, Ed Asner as Warren Buffett, Cynthia Nixon as Michele Davis, Topher Grace as Jim Wilkinson, Billy Crudup as Tim Geithner, and William Hurt as Henry Paulson. The project is an adaptation of Andrew Ross Sorkin’s book, and will be directed by L.A. Confidential director Curtis Hanson.
