Paula Deen Fires Agent

Being Paula Deen’s manager this week must have been the worst job in the world. Luckily for her longtime agent, Barry Weiss, he’s about to get a vacation. The embattled chef has relieved Weiss of his duties following his handling of the fallout from her admission that she used the N word and held on to some antiquated and, many say, racist ideas about the South. The multiple weird videos? Bailing on the television appearances only to show up and make everyone uncomfortable with the waterworks? If those were Weiss’s idea, a firing is definitely in order. To be fair, though, what could have saved her from her own buttery mess?
