PBS has suspended Tavis Smiley’s eponymous talk show after learning of sexual misconduct allegations against the host. The network hired an outside law firm to investigate the matter. “The inquiry uncovered multiple, credible allegations of conduct that is inconsistent with the values and standards of PBS, and the totality of this information led to today’s decision,” PBS said in a statement. Variety reports that 10 witnesses, men and women of different races, were interviewed, and that the investigation concluded that Smiley “engaged in sexual relationships with multiple subordinates.”
