The health-care debate figures to be drawn out even longer: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that she lacks the votes to pass the Senate health-care reform bill as is, and that the Senate will have to amend its bill before the House passes it. "In its present form without any changes I don't think it's possible to pass the Senate bill in the House ... I don't see the votes for it at this time,” Pelosi said. She reiterated, “We have to get a bill passed. We know that.”
