The Indiana GOP central committee voted to have Lt. Gov. Eric Holcomb replace Gov. Mike Pence on the ballot in this November’s gubernatorial race. Holcomb first became lieutenant governor in March, and will now compete with Democratic nominee John Gregg to replace Pence, who withdrew from re-election after accepting Donald Trump’s vice-presidential slot. Gregg narrowly lost to Pence in 2012 by only 3 percentage points.
