Dana White, the Pentagon’s chief spokesperson, is under investigation by the Defense Department’s Inspector General for allegedly misusing her staff, CNN reports. According to the outlet, she’s been accused of making staffers perform personal tasks for her and “inappropriately” transferring personnel when they filed complaints against her. The Trump administration appointee allegedly made her staff pick up her dry cleaning, fetch snacks and pantyhose for her at convenience stores, drive her to work on snowy days, and deliver her lunch from the Pentagon’s cafeteria. White is also accused of making her staff fill out financial paperwork, make personal travel arrangements for her, and book appointments with her hair and makeup artist. At least two staffers who spoke up about how White was using her staff were allegedly “transferred” soon after. Half a dozen people have been interviewed by the IG thus far, with Defense Secretary James Mattis having the power to fire White. This comes after former EPA administrator Scott Pruitt was accused of directing his staff to complete personal errands for him.
