Romantic thriller The Perfect Guy edged out M. Night Shyamalan’s new horror flick The Visit at U.S. box offices, raking in $26.7 million in its debut weekend. The Visit brought in about $25.7 million, which made it the top opening of 2015 for a horror film. Perfect Guy also marked the fifth weekend in a row that a film featuring black actors in leading roles ruled the box office. N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton topped the charts three weekends in a row followed by the drama War Room over Labor Day. Mission: Impossible–Rogue Nation eked out the third spot with $4.2 million ahead of Straight Out of Compton, which brought in $4.1 million over the weekend and has grossed more than $155 million domestically.
