Asks for money for every agency donors wish to abolish.
CBS
Rick Perry wasted no time in damage control after his now-famous “oops" debatebrain freeze. The Texas governor went on David Letterman Thursday night and read the “Top 10 Rick Perry Excuses" for not remembering the three agencies he would abolish, which included jokes like “I just learned Justin Bieber is my father” and “you try concentrating with Mitt Romney smiling at you. That is one handsome dude.” Perry chuckled along with Letterman with many of the jokes and tried to turn it around into a fundraising opportunity by asking donors to give his campaign a few dollars for every agency they would abolish.
