Texas Governor Rick Perry gave a strong indication that he may still run for president: Today during a press conference about a voter identification law that he has signed, Perry said, “I’m going to think about it” after the legislative session ends. Then he added, “But I think about a lot of things.” Perry has long said that he has no interest in running for president, but now that Mitch Daniels has declined to run, Perry has been coming closer to saying he may run. While he was on Fox News a few days ago, he told Greta Van Susteren that a run was tempting. However, a spokesman for Perry said, “Nothing has changed. The governor thinks about a lot of issues. The governor has no intention of running for president.”
