The now-infamous Philippine president-elect said on Saturday that anyone with a gun should feel free to kill any drug dealer who refuses to be taken to a police station. “You can kill him,” Rodrigo Duterte said. “Shoot him and I’ll give you a medal.” The 71-year-old has raised international alarms, especially since his May 9 victory, for his controversial views. In a nationally televised speech, he told a crowd: “Please feel free to call us, the police, or do it yourself if you have the gun—you have my support.”
