There are lots of artists who put themselves into their work, but few who include every scrap of furniture they own—and some objects they don't. The artist called Olek has built a reputation for taking things she lives with—sometimes an entire apartment's worth—and making them art by crocheting over them. Her current show at Jonathan LeVine Gallery in New York includes everything from her butcher block, to her rolling pin ("I used it for my Christmas pierogies") to a mover's trolley—all of it covered in yarn.
