Piers Morgan took the stand in the ongoing inquiry into phone hacking by News Corp. tabloids. Morgan said he wasn't aware of any phone hacking at the Daily Mirror, but that editors “know only 5 percent of what their journalists are doing.” After he finished testifying, he said that the questioning went how he thought it would: “like a rock star having an album brought out of his back catalog of all his worst-ever hits,” but that the scandal has to be balanced with the “very good things which the newspaper did at that time and continues to do.”
