A South African court granted Oscar Pistorius conditional bail Tuesday after he was convicted of the murder of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp. The double-amputee sprinter will remain under house arrest and his case has been postponed until April. Pistorius appeared at a bail hearing at the Pretoria High Court, where he sought leave to appeal against the murder conviction. The 29-year-old will reportedly stay out of jail until the sentencing hearing. South African appeal judges found the former athlete guilty of murder last week, overturning his earlier conviction on a lesser charge of culpable homicide.
