The first funerals for victims of the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting will take place Tuesday morning, shortly before Donald Trump is due to visit the city for a controversial visit to pay his respects—despite some calls for him to stay away. One of the first funerals to take place will be that of Cecil and David Rosenthal, who were two intellectually disabled brothers in their fifties. Physician Jerry Rabinowitz and fellow worshipper Daniel Stein will also have their funerals today—seven others will happen during the week. Trump will arrive later to “express the support of the American people and to grieve with the Pittsburgh community,” the White House said. Shooting survivor Barry Werber has said he doesn’t want a visit from a president who calls himself a “nationalist,” but Rabbi Jeffrey Myers of the Tree of Life synagogue said the president is “certainly welcome.”
