A White House plane carrying Michelle Obama had to abort its landing at Joint Base Andrews on Monday after coming dangerously close to a 200-ton military cargo jet. Sources said the close call was caused by an air-traffic controller’s mistake. The Federal Aviation Administration, already in hot water for several high-profile mistakes involving air-traffic controllers, sent a team of investigators Tuesday to the Warrenton radar control center, where the mistake was made. The FAA is expected to comment later Tuesday about the incident.
