An Ethiopian airplane taking off from Beirut crashed into the sea on Monday with 90 people on board. According to the airline’s chief executive, 34 bodies have been recovered. There has been no word of survivors. The wife of the French ambassador to Lebanon was among those on the plane. The plane took off at 2:37 a.m. during thunder and heavy rain.
